Bike to Work 2009
Thanks to everyone for helping make Bike to Work Day 2009 a huge success. This includes the participants, supportive businesses, participating coffee and bike shops, and even motorists. Everyone working together made Bike to Work Day 2009 a successful and memorable event.
As part of our thank you we are organizing an after event party where we can announce the winners and celebrate. Join us Sunday, May 31st Noon - 4:00 pm at the West Street Market in downtown Reno.
Schedule of Events:
12-1 – The Reno Youth Jazz Orchestra
1:15-2:15 - Mojo Green
2:30-3:00 - Guest Speakers, Award Ceremonies, $500 grand prize giveaway
3:00-4:00 – Jelly Bread
There will be a raffle for some great prizes, a massage booth, the presence of local bike groups and 10% off West Street Market Vendor Goods for those who donate to Bike to Work Day. Admission is free!
Please feel free to invite people who didn’t participate in Bike to Work Day to join us at the celebration. While we particularly want to honor participants, we also want to continue to attract new riders and foster appreciation in general for this fun, green, money-saving transportation mode.
Results of the Grand Prize Raffle
Congratulations to Greg Jacobs and Anne Schneckloth who both won $500 towards a bike or bike gear from the participating bike shop of their choice!
